Apple’s The Morning Show Teaser Debuts

Apple’s The Morning Show Teaser Debuts

With Apple TV+ launching this fall (which starts in just six weeks!), the streaming service has released a teaser for The Morning Show, which stars the award-winning trifecta of Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon.

Starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell, The Morning Show offers a behind-the-scenes look at a fictional morning show, à la Good Morning America or the Today show.

The Morning Show will debut exclusively on Apple TV+ this fall.

The series, which has already received a two-season and 20-episode order and created by Michael Ellenberg (The Leftovers) with Kerry Ehrin serving as the series' writer.

The overlapping voices of Witherspoon, Carell and Aniston are also heard in a cacophony of dramatic moments.

I feel that people are screaming for an honest conversation.

If the trailer is any indication, The Morning Show is going to look a little like another seminal news drama: Aaron Sorkin's The Newsroom.

"I think they want to know the person behind the facade." adds Witherspoon's Bradley Jackson.

"Don't you ever question my integrity", says Aniston, 50. "They want to trust that the person who is telling them the truth about the world is an honest person". Nearly a full year later, in October 2018, Carell joined the project, which marks his first regular TV gig since The Office.

According to Witherspoon, she and Aniston will play "ambitious, aspirational female characters" while Carell will play a male anchor facing the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements.

Apple's tagline for the show is, "the news is only half the story".

Steve Carell also stars in the drama series.
