OnePlus TV is now official, launch expected soon

OnePlus TV will be the Chinese smartphone maker's first television that is expected to go official in the coming weeks.

Will that carry over into its first foray into television technology?

OnePlus is still a young brand established only a few years ago, but the company is not hesitating to foray into other departments.

The OnePlus TV is an extension of the brand's "Never Settle" mindset. Furthermore, a report earlier this week claimed that the new range of OnePlus TVs could be launched anywhere between September 25 and September 30. Android TVs offer a lot of features, but when it comes to opening apps or other intensive tasks, the performance deteriorates. The new OnePlus TV logo is also said to be denoting aesthetics of symmetry and unity, for which the company has utilized the same thickness for both logo and letters. We had nothing concrete on the TV, up until it was listed on Bluetooth SIG, revealing that it will come in a big variety of sizes (from 43 all the way up to 75 inches) and have an LED panel.

The OnePlus TV logo shown in the tweet above has a number of characteristics, as per OnePlus' blog post, and it's completely symmetrical. Additional details regarding TVs are not known at the moment, but we might see them launching at the end of September, as we reported recently. Apart from the logo, the company hadn't also revealed much information about the upcoming OnePlus TV, however, despite conducting the OnePlus TV: You Name It contest, the company has promised to give away a prize for the first person, whoever had named it the 'OnePlus TV.'
