The Risk of a No-Deal Brexit | Amelia Bourdeaux

Remainer MPs are reportedly drawing up plans to force Boris Johnson to avoid no-deal and seek another Brexit delay in the autumn.

Critics say he's deliberately spoiling for a fight with Brussels so he can crash out of the EU.

Should Labour succeed, Mr Johnson is likely to spark a constitutional crisis, with Downing Street sources indicating he will refuse to resign and instead attempt to call a general election after the Brexit deadline of October 31.

With just 81 days until the United Kingdom is set to leave the European Union on October 31, the legal process required would take too long to be resolved.

None of his meetings have been on camera but in a briefing that was dominated by Brexit, he said "we are with you".

Trump had wanted to work with the May government on a trade deal but her government "didn't want to do it".

A central point Bolton was making is that the United States will help cushion Britain's exit from the European Union with a free trade agreement, Reuters said.

Mr Puissesseau admitted that a no-deal Brexit in March would have been a "huge problem", but said they had now had an extra seven months to prepare.

Bolton will articulate US opposition to Huawei - the Trump administration views it as an arm of the Chinese government used to tap into communications - and press the the UK to commit to having absolutely no Huawei equipment in the UK telecommunications system.

Johnson spoke to Trump on Monday, discussing Brexit, trade and economic issues, his office said. "We very much want a deal, but we're also clear about what needs to be achieved in order to secure that". -British relationship with Prime Minister Boris Johnson after sometimes tense ties between Trump and Johnson's predecessor, Theresa May.

France's Jean-Marc Puissesseau had accused "certain individuals" of scaremongering with talk of transport chaos and said authorities were ready for Britain's scheduled departure from the European Union on October 31. However, the MP said a vote of confidence in Johnson's government would have more chance of success later in October, as the reality of no-deal drew nearer and its consequences became more apparent.

Johnson is seeking a deal with the European Union but has not ruled out suspending parliament to prevent lawmakers' attempts to block a no-deal exit.
