Apple Arcade attracts AAA developers but are they bringing their big guns?

Earlier this year, it rolled out Apple News Plus, $9.99 monthly, stocked with content from over 300 publisher partners. In addition to revealing more practical information such as price and release date, Apple really wanted to hammer home that the likes of Capcom, Annapurna Interactive and Konami are on board with the service and will be exclusively bringing their games to Arcade.

At the iPhone launch event, Apple took the time to show off some exclusive titles which would be available on Apple Arcade.

Audiences worldwide can enjoy Apple TV+ originals subtitled and/or dubbed in almost 40 languages, including Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH) or closed captions.

Apple TV Plus is offering a free year to those who purchase certain new devices. But what Apple didn't say then was how much Apple TV+ would cost subscribers or the service's exact launch date. However, Apple's wrong-footed the naysayers. Through Family Sharing, up to six family members can share one Apple TV+ subscription.

First they highlight the shows that have already been announced including Dickinson starring Hailee Steinfield and the Morning Show with Steve Carrell and Jennifer Anniston. Apple TV+ series and movies will also be available with audio descriptions in eight languages. A spokesperson confirmed on-stage that Apple Arcade will have its own dedicated icon and tab in the App Store, for instance, with a regularly-updated feed full of curated picks, game guides and sneak-peek trailers.
