Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered release date confirmed

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Editio will feature cross-play. Hopefully, Square Enix will offer a few more details about the newly-announced mobile editions before the planned winter release.

A preview version of the game will make its first appearance this week.

Unlike many older Final Fantasy games, Crystal Chronicles is more akin to a hack and slash game than a turn-based RPG.

Team up with faraway friends to take down fearsome foes! Players will join a caravan where members of the four races join to assist a mission to save the world. Now it appears you won't need to dig up your old GBA console, as the remastered edition will have four-player cross-platform multiplayer built-in.

The key features this remastered edition of the game are bringing to the table are online multiplayer and cross-platform play. You can also see more of the game in this brand new trailer. In addition, Square Enix has added new post-game content including dungeons and bosses, extra character skins and items, and newly recorded theme songs, narrative, and voiceovers. The official Japanese blog also states that the game is cross-progressive, meaning that game progress can be transferred between platforms, but requires purchasing the game on multiple platforms.
