Hailee Steinfeld in talks to play Kate Bishop in Marvel’s Hawkeye

Selection is reporting that Disney+ has supplied Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Bumblebee, Dickinson) the lead function of Kate Bishop within the upcoming Hawkeye collection starring Jeremy Renner. She has also been part of the young Avengers, so it would be a good way of bringing the character to the big screen or even her own series. Based on brief glimpses in the trailers, some fans speculated that this role might be filled by Clint's daughter in Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye is expected to stream in fall 2021, and is among multiple Disney+ series in the works at Marvel Studios.

Kate Bishop, the fictional superhero is trained by Clint Barton (Renner) to fight against crime with the help of a bow and arrow.

A new member is ready to join the Avengers family. Bishop goes on to become the next Hawkeye once Barton retires.

There've been reports about a Hawkeye series happening for a while now, but it wasn't made official until San Diego Comic-Con.

This would not be Steinfeld's first Marvel super hero character; she was "Spider-Gwen" in Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Having said that, when it's reported by the trades, the deals more often than not end up going through, which means Steinfeld joining the MCU is a likely scenario. If you want to see more of Hailee Steinfeld, she'll next appear in Netflix's Between Two Ferns: The Movie, which drops on September 20, 2019. Mackie, Stan, Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen will reprise their roles for his or her respective collection. Plus, she just recently starred on a TV show for the first time as Emily Dickinson in the upcoming Apple TV series Dickinson. Additional series include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If...?
