Samsung Galaxy Fold: hundreds of apps supported at launch, thanks to Google

You can read about that, and more, at the source link below, so you know what to expect once you decide to purchase the Galaxy Fold.

With the expanded presence of Chinese phone makers in India, Samsung realized that it was time to revamp its budget and mid-range strategy to court buyers.

When Samsung first announced the Galaxy Fold, it also made the rather surprising and uncharacteristic revelation that it worked closely with Google to actually prepare the then still-in-development Android Q for a foldable future.

This is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB while the second variant has 6GB RAM.

Samsung today confirmed a few popular apps that will be available from the Google Play Store when the Galaxy Fold goes on sale. These include Spotify, Amazon Prime Video, App in the Air, Facebook, iHeartMedia, Twitter, VSCO and - perhaps most importantly from a practical point of view - those from Microsoft.

"Our coolest new Galaxy A50s and A30s have been created to elevate the smartphone experience of young millennials and Gen Z to the next level as they are equipped with premium features such as Night Mode, Super Steady video and Samsung pay", said Ranjivjit Singh, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, Mobile Business, Samsung India in a statement. There's an optical in-display fingerprint sensor in tow here as well. Samsung A50 (Review) and Samsung A30, launched earlier this year, precede these launches.

Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED Full HD+ display. The company has since developed a new, thinner polymer cover for the Galaxy Fold's display. According to a TENNA leak, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M series phone will sport fast charging ability and will be priced at under Rs 20,000.

Samsung highlights features like App Continuity and Multi-Active Window that arose out of its collaboration with Google. That includes not just the underlying Android platform but also apps like Maps and YouTube.
