What time is the third Democratic presidential debate? Lineup, channel and more

In a Washington Post op-ed, Mr. Rendell, who has endorsed former Vice President Joseph R. Biden for president, wrote he has been a big fan of Ms. Warren, but said the Massachusetts Democrat's anti-big donor pledge rings hollow.

Here's everything you need to know about the third debate.

The format for this debate is similar in tone to the CNN debate which took place in July where the pace was quick and candidates were often cut off before they could finish a full answer.

There are now less than five months to go before the first votes are cast in the Democratic presidential nominating contest. The debate will be held at Texas Southern University, a historically black university located in Houston, and will be televised on ABC and Univision (with a Spanish translation).

The Houston debate, to be televised by ABC News, is scheduled to last for up to three hours.

On the West Coast, the debate will air simultaneously with the rest of the country (not on a delay like sometimes happens for West Coast airings.) This means the debate will begin at 5 p.m.

It will be broadcast live by ABC and Univision and assorted websites and streaming platforms.

The debate can also be streamed live via the Election Central mobile app available here for iOS and Android. Then change the "Provider" (right under TV Listings) to your local provider.

How many candidates will there be?

Notably, the credibility that the general electorate extends to Warren is not replicated with Senator Bernie Sanders, despite their similar approaches to public policy. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Corey Booker, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Kamala Harris; entrepreneur Andrew Yang; former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke; and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., will face off.

Candidates will be given one minute and 15 seconds to answer questions and 45 seconds for responses and rebuttals. They'll be able to give opening statements but not closing statements.

Each candidate who qualified needed to receive 2% or more of support in at least four polls between June 28 and August 28 approved by the Democratic National Committee, and at least 130,000 unique donors, with there being 400 unique donors per state in at least 20 states. So what might set them apart, what could be the flashpoints Thursday night, and can any of the other candidates break through?

Tom Steyer has already qualified for the October debates.

Front-runners in the Democratic presidential primary pulled no punches during the second debate in Detroit.

Each candidate had to poll at two percent in at least four polls and grab donations from 130,000 unique donors, which is a much tougher threshold to meet than the earlier debates.
