Deadly shooting in Brooklyn

Four men were found dead at the scene, authorities said.

The victims' ages range between 32 and 49 years old.

Four people were killed and three others were wounded in an early Saturday shooting at an illegal gambling club in New York City, police said.

NYPD investigates the scene of a shooting in the Brooklyn borough of NY on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019.

NYPD responded to a social club on Utica Avenue in the Weeksville neighborhood of Brooklyn just before 7 a.m. over reports of shots fired.

Police said they estimate around 15 people were inside and that 15 gunshots were fired at the venue that described as being "chaos".

Shea said that among the victims, two were from "out of state" and the remaining five resided in different areas of Brooklyn.

Shea said it was too early to tell if it was a gambling dispute, a robbery or some other motive.

The preliminary investigation shows this incident was not gang-related.

Officials say the three injured include at least one woman, and that all injuries are serious but not considered to be life-threatening. There have been no prior complaints of gambling at the location, they say.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the shooting, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesperson. Check back for updates.
